PostHeaderIcon Who we are

The STEPS Care for Carers (CFC) Service delivers an integrated service to support individual Carers and Carer Groups. STEPS recognises that Carers play a valued and key role in the community by improving the quality of life of the people that they care for. Carers should thereby be strengthened and encouraged to manage and rejuvenate their Carer relationships.

STEPS Disability Queensland Inc is a vibrant employment, community service and training organisation, assisting people with a disability to become active and contributing members of their communities.

All people deserve opportunity to reach their potential. In 1989 STEPS was established with a focus of bringing self-esteem and quality of life to people with a disability, through assisting them to attain gainful employment.

STEPS' Community Services and Training Programs have since been launched, delivering a broader range of services with the same commitment to the original values and mission of the organisation.

The STEPS Care for Carers (CFC) Program is a new venture and it delivers a holistic and integrated approach to support individual Carers through counselling, support, information and assistance to access services and through a Mentor Program and the formation of Carer Support Groups. STEPS recognises that by improving a Carers ability to cope and manage their everyday roles, this will naturally assist in improving their quality of life.
